Nordic Ski Jumping is the ONLY sport in both the Summer and the Winter Olympic Games excluding the female counterpart!
May of 2010, the International Ski Federation (FIS) approved a World Cup circuit to be added to the 2011-2012 competition schedule. FIS is also asking the International Olympic Committee to add Women's Ski Jumping to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi Russia. This is a huge step in the development to the sport, as well as the motivation level of the athletes! Things are starting to look up :)
